In this regard, the China Household Electric Appliance Research Institute (CHEARI) has conducted healthy home-thermal comfort tests and provides certification that is reportedly based on ‘GB/T 33658-2017: Thermal comfort requirements and evaluation for indoor environment’, and evaluates the actual perceived human comfort from temperature fluctuations, temperature uniformity, vertical air temperature difference, blowing sensation index, thermal comfort effect, etc.

Hisense ranked first in the industry, with the largest number of 32 certified models of air conditioners including Healthy Home X series fresh air systems, Comfort Home S series, and Smart Home A series. Of them, Healthy Home X series fresh air systems, represented by X9, X8, and X7, have not only reached the key indicators of fresh air volume that is more than twice that of other products of the same level, but also have outstanding performance in the market. Hisense was the leader in China’s fresh air system market over the period spanning January to September in 2020, which is expected to significantly increase, according to data from China Market Monitor.

Data from the National Bureau of Statistics show that by 2023, China’s health industry is expected to achieve an output value of over RMB 14 trillion (US$ 2 trillion). In this context, functions such as fresh air, comfort, and health will not only become consumers’ demanding expectations for air conditioners, but will also shape the development direction of the air conditioner industry.
